Yoga Society of Nashville 
Founded in January 1977, this non-profit organization has been dedicated to promoting interest in yoga and advancing its study for more than 25 years.
Gray Bear Holistic Retreat Center 
Nestled in the rolling hills of West Tennessee, Gray Bear is a richly warm, rustic retreat ideal for indulging in the healing powers of relaxation and yoga.
Vanderbilt Faculty Nurse-Midwives
at the West End Women’s Center 
The Vanderbilt Faculty Nurse-Midwives help pregnant women have a birth experience with personal attention and more flexibility than any other option. It’s their mission to provide excellent care and education while staying attuned to the concerns and needs of the family.
Amy Barnes Village Realtor 
Amy was born and raised in Nashville, specifically Hillsboro Village. She now resides in the 12South neighborhood. Amy has been practicing real estate since 1997. The relationships that form along the way are the heart of her business. Amy believes that real estate is a tangible investment that can enhance one's quality of life and economic well-being.
Lisa Ernst- One Dharma Meditation Group 
Lisa Ernst has been meditating and practicing Buddhism for over 18 years. She has studied in both the Zen Buddhist and the Theravada Buddhist tradition. Lisa is co-founder of One Dharma Nashville, a meditation group that focuses on the practices of mindfulness, loving kindness and compassion. One Dharma meets every Monday night at 7 – 8 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church. Newcomers are welcome. Lisa also offers private meditation instructions. Practical Massage Therapy 
Practical Massage Therapy is a neighborhood massage studio convenient to Belmont, Hillsboro Village, Green Hills, and Music Row. Nashville Scene readers voted it “Best Massage” for three consecutive years.
Yoga Therapy with Jami Grich 
Yoga Therapy is a holistic, body-centered style of therapy that combines yoga and talk therapy to help a person connect with one's true self. Jami Grich is a licensed clinical psychologist and a long-time yoga practitioner. Jamie received yoga certification through SIYI and her Yoga Therapy training at the Pheonix Rising Yoga Therapy center in Vermont. Hollyhock Retreat Centre 
Hollyhock is an intentional center for people to come together to promote vision, renewal, strategy, skill building, team building, well-being, and social change.
Feathered Pipe Ranch 
Since 1975, Feathered Pipe Ranch has offered seminars and workshops in yoga, holistic health, psychology, the arts, and bodywork. They also sponsor tours throughout the world to foster personal growth, study ancient tribal traditions and experience the transformative energies of places of pilgrimage.
Veterans For Peace 
Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985. The organization includes men and women veterans of all eras including World War II, the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf and current Iraq wars as well as other conflicts. Our collective experience tells us wars are easy to start and hard to stop and that those hurt are often the innocent. We draw on our personal experiences and perspectives gained as veterans to raise public awareness of the true costs and consequences of militarism and war - and to seek peaceful, effective alternatives.
K-Lea Gifford 
K-Lea Gifford, a long-time Nashvillian and former director of 12South, continues to share her love for yoga in her new hometown of Paradise Valley, AZ. Check out her website for workshop and schedule notes!

Community Contributions
12South Yoga believes that active citizenship builds a better community. We are proud to support the efforts of these inspiring local organizations.
Dismas, Inc. 
Dismas House is a nonprofit organization founded in 1974 to provide transitional housing and support services to men and women who have been recently released from prison or jail. Dismas House recognizes that the cycle of crime can be reduced when men and women who have been incarcerated have assistance readjusting to society. To that end, Dismas House provides room and board, transportation, job referrals, life skills counseling, and drug and alcohol counseling referrals to help former offenders make a successful transition back into the community.
Magdalene House 
The Magdalene House provides housing and complete care for Nashville women with a criminal history of prostitution and drug abuse. Since its inception, 87% of the women who entered the program and stayed beyond three months remain in recovery.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee 
The Second Harvest Food Bank provides a central distribution center for companies, groups, and individuals who wished to help provide food for Middle Tennessee's hungry. Second Harvest's mission is to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in our community.
Tennessee Environmental Council 
For more than thirty years, TEC has been working daily to educate and advocate for the protection of Tennessee’s environment and public health. TEC's efforts have been successful in protecting the Great Smoky Mountains, cleaning up the Pigeon River, reducing pollution from TVA's coal-fired power plants, and preventing degradation of high quality streams and the globally significant Rumbling Falls Cave system.
