NEW 12South Weekend Series!
An hour and a half class is just not enough time some days! In an effort to explore postures with a little more depth, we are beginning a weekend 2hr. class series.
Our next weekend class series meets:
Saturday, May 24th from 10:15-12:30pm
This class is designed for Level 2 students and will be led by Aretha Blevins.
Cost: $18 in advance,
$20 at the door.

Building a Home Practice!
Sunday June 15, 3:15-4:30pm
Led by Aretha Blevins
Building a home practice is integral to your personal yoga practice. This class will be a guided discussion covering the basics of getting a yoga practice started at home. This class will provide you with: the basics of when, where, and how to begin a home practice, an understanding of appropriate sequencing, and sutra readings to inform your practice.
Cost:
$15 in advance/ $20 at door

Note: Please have a minimum of 12months dedicated practice in the Iyengar tradition and be an active student of Iyengar yoga before signing up for this workshop. Registrations made before May 25th are refundable minus a $20 service charge. Registrations are not refundable after May 25th. Thank you.
Dean Lerner is a longtime student of B.K.S. Iyengar and has served a four-year term as President of the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association of the USA. He brings a rare blend of internal balance and keen perception to his teaching. Dean lives in State College, PA and co-directs Yoga For Health with his wife Rebecca Lerner. Dean is an advanced Certified Iyengar Teacher and we are happy to welcome him back for his 5th visit to our studio.

Lois Steinberg, Ph.D, is the director of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Champaign-Urbana in Illinois and holds an advanced level certification. This certificate has been awarded by B.K.S. Iyengar to only nine practitioners in the U.S. She has 26 years experience practicing and teaching, and an accumulated four years of total immersion at the Ramanani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India. She is also the author of Geeta S. Iyengar's Guide to A Women's Practice and several manuals codifying yoga therapeutics.
